Kendu assists entrepreneurs with novel ideas for innovative products in advancing and directing all aspects of the development process: from market research and POC (Proof of Concept), through design and prototype production, to creating a work plan, formulating a business plan and raising capital.

Kendu is led by Adi Shfaram and Ossi Hillel who have been cooperating for many years in developing physical products encompassing design, technological and business aspects.

Adi Shfaram

Adi is a co-founder of Aran Research & Development Ltd., a leading Israeli product development company. Adi was responsible for the development of numerous products in Aran, from concept, through design and prototype building, to final product. Adi assists and consults entrepreneurs and leading companies in developing and designing new products, and invests in some of the projects. Furthermore, he is an entrepreneur and a partner in various real estate projects and restaurants. Adi is an artist and has a degree from the Industrial Design Department at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem.

Ossi Hillel–Fain

Ossi is a co-founder of Newton, a company that developed an innovative propulsion system for motors. As a Managing Partner, she was responsible for the business development of the firm including building the business plan and raising capital. Along the years, Ossi has been serving as a Director in various public corporations, engaged mainly in technology, security, and investments, including
Aran, ETView, PriorTech, ICB and XTL Bio.
Furthermore, Ossi served as a director in Leumi Start, the venture capital arm of Bank Leumi.
Ossi graduated from the Kellogg-Recanati Executive MBA Program at Tel Aviv University.

Advanced Surgical Implant

Orbix is a medical start-up in the field of aesthetic surgery. Adi Shfaram co-founded the company with Professor Eyal Gur, Director of the Department of Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov). The company develops an internal bra as an implant product used during breast lift or breast reduction surgeries. We led the entry of the venture to an incubator, patent registration, raising seed capital, management of product engineering, the accompaniment of approximately 150 surgeries and assistance in raising additional funds totaling $US 4 million.

Internet Trading Platform

Wispa has developed a platform that enables the establishment of Niche Community Marketplaces at a minimal cost. The platform is where buyers and sellers who share the same social networks meet in a way that is safe, simple and fun. The first marketplace built with Wispa was Kicks, a commerce platform for quality snicker shoes. Kendu assisted this start-up in analyzing and understanding the market, building a business plan and fundraising from investors.

Revolutionary Breast Pump

Annabella is the only breast pump in the world with a patented mechanism that replicates the tongue and other inner parts of the baby’s mouth. By simulating baby’s suckling motion, the pump triggers mothers’ natural reflex, allowing more milk to be extracted in less time. Annabella is small, quiet, portable and rechargeable. Kendu joined this venture when the start-up needed to recalculate its route following crowdfunding and development of the prototype. We accompany Annabella daily and assist in product development, finding leading engineers for further development, fundraising from investors (including a manufacturer that joined the venture as a strategic investor), formulating the investment structure and patent registration. Furthermore, we actively participate in the Advisory Board of the Company.

Mechanical SVF Isolation System

To date, the gold standard procedure for Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) extraction from fat involves the use of enzymes, which poses a significant regulatory burden, takes considerable time and is costly. This novel technology enables rapid and efficient isolation of SVF cells for immediate clinical treatment of various clinical indications. The system, which comprises a unique and compact container and electric engine, ensures a sterile environment regardless of the hygienic conditions of the room. We assist this venture in the engineering development of the product.

SOLO – A Motor for Wheelchairs

Assisting and consulting in the development of a unique auxiliary motor designed to improve the ease and speed of movement in a wheelchair.

Heating Parquet

Assisting a start-up that developed an innovative home heating solution based on a simple connection between parquet flooring and a heating line that does not require any previous infrastructure.

Hydroponic Irrigation System

Technological and business consulting on developing a hydroponic home irrigation system that is not connected to the water supply.

Robots for the Elderly

Initiating and consulting in developing robots to assist the elderly and individuals with disabilities. This venture is in cooperation with a company that imports electronic equipment from China.
